Travellers' access
When you arrive in Tahiti, your plane will inevitably fly over the island of Moorea, just 17 km away. Moorea, l'Île Soeur, owes its reputation to its magnificent lagoons, where white sandy beaches and turquoise waters contrast with the intense green of the dominant ridges, covered with lush vegetation.
There are two options for reaching Moorea,
from Papeete:
- By air, from Tahiti Faa'a Airport, just 10 minutes from downtown. AIR MOOREA operates shuttles every hour of the day to Moorea Temae Airport. Allow 5 to 10 minutes for the flight.
- By sea, from the Quai des Ferries in downtown Papeete, where several companies run shuttles every 30 minutes to the Vaiare quay in Moorea. Allow 35 minutes for the crossing. If you've rented a car, this is the option you'll choose.
When you arrive in Moorea, you can rent a car or take a cab from the ferry terminal or airport.
It takes around 30 minutes by car to reach Motu Fareone, the jewel of Moorea's lagoon.
All along the way, you'll come across fabulous landscapes such as the famous Cook Bay, Opunohu Bay and the majestic green ridges that bear witness to the island's volcanic past. Along the way, you'll see stalls selling fish from the day's catch and local fruit such as Moorea pineapples.
You'll also notice the many magnificent religious buildings dedicated to the different cults practiced by Moorea's inhabitants. This coastal road leads to the commune of Ha'apiti, home to the island's major hotels, shops and services. Free parking is available on arrival at Tiahura.
Our private boat transfer to Fare One Island is available daily from 7am to 5pm. Outside these hours, no transfers are made, except in emergencies.
Crossing the lagoon to the Fareone motu (3 minutes by boat) is a unique opportunity to sail on crystal-clear waters of rare purity. Welcome to Fare One!
