Fare One ‘the house in the sand’ is a villa built in the 1950s on a lagoon-side motu, set in almost 1300 m2 of tropical garden, a haven for seabirds and other protected local species.
From its beginnings as a simple traditional hut, the Fare has been expanded and converted over the years into a comfortable holiday villa. The surrounding wild and unspoilt nature invites you into a unique and very special setting.
Motu Fareone covers 70,000 m2 of lush vegetation and coconut palms. It is bounded by a ring of powdery white coral sand, surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the lagoon and protected from the ocean by the barrier coral reef. The site is famous for the humpback whales that visit from August to November.
You can walk barefoot on the sand around the motu or through the forest of coconut palms and aïto, the iron tree, used to make traditional Polynesian Fare. You'll make some wonderful and unforgettable encounters.
